Brooke and I have decided to serve in the Children’s Ministry department at our church (www.fbchurch.org). We will be teaching K-1st every other week during the school year.
This is a big step for us. It’s been 4 years or so since we served in any regular capacity at a church. During this time we’ve walked through hardheartedness, babies, and the wreckage of both our parents divorcing. Coming out on the other side I am amazed at the faithfulness of the King to bring us to new places of relationship with Him. He never gave up although we came awfully close.
It wasn’t a path I would have ever imagined or chosen for myself but He’s led us to a good place.
So here we go. It’s a testimony to God’s goodness that we would be here.
Lord keep us…and keep us from serving you in our own strength. Purify our hearts.
